In particular small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) who, despite being the backbone of the global economy and providing the lion’s share of employment, are often excluded from favourable lending terms. Lending that would allow them to overcome the cashflow shortfalls that are preventing them from reaching their full potential. This is in large part due to outdated lending processes and the sheer manual cost for lenders to support SMEs.

By digitising the process Trade Ledger has enabled lenders to deliver a business lending journey that’s simple, inclusive and sustainable, through the use of smart technology and new digital datasets – ultimately giving SMEs access to cash when they need it.

The Role

As we continue to scale we are now recruiting for a Sales Executive to join us and help build Trade Ledger's presence in Europe. Your role will be to drive revenue by developing new business opportunities, cross-selling and up-selling activities and growing existing accounts. This position will be remote first, ideally in the Benelux or Nordic regions, but we will expect you to be able to visit our offices from time to time as required. Responsibilities

  • Drive success of the company’s goals and objectives through achieving individual sales quotas
  • Qualify sales opportunities based on Trade Ledger’s sales methodology & metrics, to include customer fit and success criteria
  • Identify, cultivate and close on net-new business
  • Build account plans and strategies for each target account
  • Collaborate and engage internal resources to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Uncover needs and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders within the assigned accounts across the business
  • Forecast sales activity and revenue achievements accurately through proper use of sales tools

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 7+ years selling cloud-based technology to a range of stakeholder groups, specifically to leaders of Commercial and Investment Banking and financial service providers OR
  • 7+ years in Commercial or Investment banking focused on client coverage or business lending with a passion for technology and how it can revolutionise banking of the future
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles, including prior success in closing 1M+ deals and managing multiple large accounts
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods
  • Portfolio of C-Level contacts within Commercial Banking across a variety of accounts
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Organisational and time-management skills
  • Enthusiastic and hard-working
